Michelle M. Davis

Author of "Ain't Understandin' Mellow"

Michelle was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. As a child she was an avid reader, a fan of her mother's collection of Harlequin books. At the tender age of ten, so inspired was she by the things she read she penned her first book. It was all of about thirty pages long, written on loose leaf notebook paper. She took it to school and showed it to her teacher, who was so impressed that she asked Michelle to read it aloud to the class.

That encouragement stirred a dedication and passion within the young scribe that has carried on today.  Michelle's first book, Ain't Understandin' Mellow, was published in 2005 and re-released in 2006 to rave reviews. She is in the process of writing her second book, which should be released late 2008.

Michelle is a proud mother of four and a grandmother. She is a manager for a national social service agency, the founder/chairman and executive director of a not for profit agency called Successful PATHS, and the chairman of another not for profit called the Lakefront Community Organization.
